Upper galleries. Accessed via ticketed entry ramp. Houses Byzantine mosaics and historical exhibits.

Modest clothing required. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Headscarves mandatory for women in worship areas.
Photography
Tripods and flash photography are strictly prohibited. Respect privacy of individuals praying.

Baggage
Large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not permitted inside. No storage facilities available on site.
Animals
Only official service animals are permitted within the monument grounds and interior.

Consumption of food and beverages is not allowed inside the building. Bottled water permitted.
Getting Here
The most convenient way to reach Sultanahmet Square is via the T1 Tram line. Disembark at the Sultanahmet station. The monument is a 3-minute walk across the square.

Accessibility
Due to the historic nature of the 6th-century architecture, access to certain areas is restricted. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations.
- 01Wheelchair Access: The ground floor worship area is fully accessible via ramps at the main entrance. The upper gallery is currently only accessible via historic stone ramps and may not be suitable for all wheelchairs.
- 02Restrooms: Accessible facilities are located in the courtyard near the ticket booths.
- 03Audio Guides: Devices with hearing-loop compatibility are available at the information desk.
